STI Testing and Treatment
The Pregnancy Help Center is offering testing and treatment for limited Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). Appointments are encouraged for this service.
Which STIs are you testing for?
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
How do you test?
- After the RN has collected some medical history and sexual behavior history, the client is asked to provide a small urine sample. For best results, the client should not have emptied their bladder within the last hour.
What happens next?
- The urine sample is sent to the lab and results are returned to PhC in approximately 3 days. These results are then relayed to the client. If either test is positive, the client is scheduled to return to PhC to receive treatment.
